Adoptive Parents Swap Meet Australia
groups.yahoo.com groups.yahoo.com

/showurl.php?url=2119 As on adoptive parent of two who lived in the U.S. for many year and now in Australia I have sold and bought many items on yahoo groups for my children, and have been part of many U.S. based groups. I haven't been able to find similar groups here in Australia but this is a great way to pass on your childrens stuff and not have to worry about listing with e-bay etc. I have also found this a great way to fundraise for our adoptions.

This group is for families who have adopted OR families that are in the orocess of adopting and would like to sell or buy items! You can list stuff that you have for sale or that you are looking to buy!

The owner of this list is NOT responsible for items being sold or bought (or anything else for) on this list. Please use caution and buy, sell and post messages at your own risk.

Is it the well-known Dracula legend, the Horezu ceramics fair, the ancient "martisor" custom, the "brides fair" on the Gaina mountain, the "ciorba", "sarmale" or "mititei", the chestnut festival in Baia Mare, the painted Easter eggs?

Is it the unique Danube Delta or the amazing Peles castle, the horse drawn wagons or the old fashioned farms, the wonderful painted monasteries in Moldova or the extraordinary landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains, the medieval castles in Transylvania or the beautiful Black Sea, the Bucharest museums and palaces or the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta?

Are you ready to discuss any issues, from travel tips to weather, from traditional food recipes to current news, from political to social events, from language to culture, all in an open and supportive group? Instead of surfing the net in search for news about Romania, and going through all the trouble of sorting news, info, adds, would you rather receive "just the facts" style posts in the email? Are you willing to try "an easily accessible way to read items of interest (though not necessarily earth-shaking news) of Romania" (as someone described it)?

Well, then I guess you have come to the right place. So welcome, all of you Romaniacs, this is a group created to help you discover Romania and meet her friendly, hard working, hospitable people.

Thailand Adoption

/showurl.php?url=2088 Open to all with an interest in adoption from Thailand, with a particular emphasis on the Australian adoption process. Would welcome input from people at all stages of the process - and of course anyone who has already adopted from Thailand that is willing to share their experiences.

NB: After receiving a request to join the group, AusThai will send an application form to your nominated email address. This includes new yahoo accounts set up at the time of application. This form must be returned before you will receive access to the group.

That Adoptions UK

You are still welcome to join this group. We are a friendly group of adoptive parents of Thai children. We originated in 1988 as a group of some of the first families to adopt from Thailand. We are happy to share our experiences and knowledge with those of you who are hoping to adopt although for those starting the process we also advocate membership of OASIS. In return for what we offer, we do ask that all members respect the privacy of each family and do not pass names or personal information outside of this group. Likewise emails from non-members should not be forwarded onto the Group without clearance from the moderator. When applying we ask you to give us a short explanation of why you wish to join this group along with a contact number and then we ask you to send a donation of £10 towards our charitable cause in Bangkok for children with disabilities plus an annual donation of £25 to the same cause. Your membership will be confirmed on receipt of the information and a cheque for £35. We look forward to hearing from you (plese include your surname in all correspondence if your email does not make this obvious).
